The Government of Canada has decided to Accept 25,000 applications under the new plans which are Federal Skilled Worker Class. With the commencement of Express Entry Immigration Program in 2015, candidates with skills and experience in different fields like Engineering, Nursing, Computers and Financial Services have great opportunities.

Express Entry Immigration Program is divided into different classes with some codes. Professional occupations in natural and applied sciences come under the major group 21. Again the Civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical engineers comes under the group 213, which is again divided into four groups.

The first group is of civil engineers with the code 2131. They perform evaluation, operation, maintenance of mechanical system and installation related duties. After recession at the beginning of 90s, the job opportunities for mechanical engineers increased. The source of vacancy for this job will mostly be retirement and promotions. Graduates in mechanical engineering are eligible for this job.

The third criteria are of electrical and electronics engineer and they are having the code number 2133. An electrical engineer earns a salary of c$65117 per year. An electrical Engineer designs and develops new electrical equipments. They deal with electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The popular sub disciplines of Electrical Engineers are Microelectronics Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Signal Processing Engineer, Power Engineer, Control Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer and Computer Engineer. A person needs a university degree in electrical engineering.

The fourth criteria are of Chemical Engineers, which are having a code 2134. Chemical Engineers are those professionals who use principles of chemical engineering in their various practical applications. Retirement will create vacancy. The job growth in this profession depends upon the performance of the industries in which they work. A graduation degree in chemical engineering is needed to work as a chemical engineer.

To work as civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical engineer a person also requires a license from a territorial or provincial association that will approve them and will report to the immigration authorities. The application to get processed must have an experience of four to five years. The demand for this profession has increased and the Express Entry program is the way to fulfil the demand in Canada.
